Created with the intention of wearability, the designer, Saskia Diez, has found the interplay between her work and it's wearer the most exciting: "How does it lay on the skin and on the body? What does it do and how does it change when it moves, how do you feel with it on?" These are questions she challenges herself to ask with each collection. This time around, hair, a new category for Diez introduces a playful take on the memorable hair ties of the past, featuring 2 large round wooden beads creating a striking visual balance suspended on nylon cord. This piece is made of local beech and maple wood found in Germany, the beads are glazed and lacquered for a semi-glossy finish that will not scratch easily.
