Inspiration for this piece can be found at the intersection of technology and contemporary art, more specifically the combination of the kinetic and dance art. Movement of the texture of this piece is an attempt to convey the movement of sculptures by Alexander Calder, each knit segment is looped together by a transparent shiny, canary yellow stitch. Allowing for a more fluid movement of the garment as a whole. Technical procedures were adopted to create this garment, a programming process similar to the work of Brooklyn artist Clement Valla, in which he examines the unpredictable, arbitrary code software algorithm. Female character of the collection inspired by the great dancer Pina Bausch, the mood of her avant-garde ballets and collaboration with fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto in 1998. This piece tapers at the bottom and slips on over your head.
