Made with the thoughtful handiwork of a mother and her two daughters, these purses are one of a kind, created in the northern region of Bangladesh, each taking 40-55 hours to create. Using plastic cane beaded accents and threaded with temple thread.
Pahar is a mother and two daughter trio from the northern part of Bangladesh. The mother, who lost her husband about 20 years ago, had a determination to raise her children as successful and worthy citizens, despite growing up in poverty. So, the trio did everything: they designed the shapes and sizes, created the patterns and color combinations, procured the materials, and made each of the pieces by hand. Each bag has taken around 40-55 hours of handiwork each.
The materials for these bags are recycled plastic cane, and are threaded with temple thread. For care, spot clean. Dimensions are 12" h x 14" width, handle drop is 10 inches.
