Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen is a Brooklyn-based artist and apparel designer, renowned for her eponymous label launched in 2021. Her designs have been featured in four collections at New York Fashion Week from 2022 to 2024.
Handcrafted in New York, Zoe's garments use deadstock and vintage materials, blending art with fashion. Drawing inspiration from historic body-modifying undergarments and medieval silhouettes, her sculptural pieces transform discarded linens and antique textiles into wearable art. Her work reflects a deep commitment to sustainability and the longevity of well-made garments. Zoe states "We are vessels for psychic communication, adornment the alter at which we worship the symbiosis of mind and body."
