Founded in Los Angeles, CA, Lucky Star Candle has the celebration of the practical arts and craft-making at its heart. The candles come to being through slow technology- a process that begins with bare wicks being dipped in liquid wax repeatedly. The braided sigils of Lucky Star Candle attempt to guide flame from the heavens to earth on an ennobled path. All four elements are involved in the event of the burning candle, transforming earth into water then air through fire. Inspired by oak bark, gnostic scripture, and folk art, Lucky Star Candle invites a non-materialist understanding of handiwork, as an enlivening process to the supersensible world.
