The designer, Pauline Krokeide, started making earrings from shells after a trip to the beach at her summerhouse. Finding a numerous empty oyster-shells during her outings near her home, she thought quickly of putting an earring through them and decorating with complimenting elements of pearls and crystals using materials from the sea and nature to created an understated glamor.
