In 2016, Supernal founder Melissa Medvedich decided it was time to change course from her career as a creative director and graphic designer and pursue her greatest passion: skincare. Having transitioned to a more minimal and cleaner beauty routine, face oil had become the most transformative and effective product in her regimen.  

Wanting to bring the same attention to detail to Supernal that she applied to her design work, Melissa began her education at the renowned New York Institute of Aromatic Studies. She first became a certified aromatherapist, and later returned to continue her studies in botanical beauty formulating. To ensure the highest possible quality, Supernal launched in February 2019 after two years of developing a singular debut product, Cosmic Glow Oil—designed to nourish, hydrate, and enhance your natural radiance. Created in small batches with organic and all-natural ingredients, every bottle of Cosmic Glow Oil is hand-blended by Melissa in Brooklyn, New York.
