Venus-print corset top from Yuhan Wang featuring a scoop neck, cap sleeves, front button fastening, and curved hem. Faux leather has been sourced by local suppliers and reused. The 3D printed buttons are modeled after statues of Greek goddesses and have been created using corn plastic, made from polylactic acid (PLA) - an alternative to plastic. Fits true to size. Designed for a close fit at the bust and waist, but loose at the hip. Yuhan Wangs Fall/Winter 2022 Collection "Venus in Furs" had multiple inspirations. The first is a book by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, “Venus in Furs” which discusses the power dynamic between males and females and if women’s powers come from men. Yuhan also referenced the excerpt from the book "Watch out, I have a large, very large fur, with which I could cover you up entirely, and I have a mind to catch you in it as a net." Yuhan also found inspiration from Mosuo women, a small matriarchal society living in South West China. Worn with the Julia Heuer Raisa Zelda Crushed Skirt and the Mondo Mondo Cosmopolitan Hoops.
