Not your grandmother's knitting skills at work here. Designer Maria Dora focuses on modern silhouettes with selective detailing. Carefully constructed by hand, the ivory colored knit is contrasted by black color blocking that alternates on the back side to reveal a playful side profile. Sits comfortably on the shoulders with a small flare at the waist. Worn by musician Maya Laner of @truebluewho.
Maria Dora focuses on sincere silhouettes that are enveloped in emotional color, and finished with honest details. Centering around humble materials like mohair, cashmere blends and Japanese bias wools, the yarns lend a feminine volume to the defiantly simple pieces. Maria Dora studied at Parsons the New School of Design and is a knitwear designer from Los Angeles. The collection is handmade locally in Palos Verdes.
